The skillset Nirmala utilizes to run events and coordinate projects is thanks to her diverse academic background and community involvement. Nirmala attended both the University of Toronto as well as York University. She graduated with a Honours Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Education and Master of Arts in Anthropology. Nirmala is currently working as an elementary school teacher in the Toronto District School Board. In addition to co-founding 'Green Dupatta', Nirmala is also the Miss West Indian Canadian Queen of 2015.
Alongside her charitable work, Keisha serves as one of 'Green Dupatta's founding members. Keisha holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from the University of Toronto. She is currently working as a behavioural therapist at 'ErinOak Kids'.
Jay uses his extensive background and expertise to help plan and execute Green Dupatta fundraising events. Jay successfully started his first business at the age of 20 and his second at 21. Not only is Jay an incredible asset to the Green Dupatta Team, he also continues to inspire his colleagues from 'Events by Andrew' to volunteer their time at our annual fundraiser. Jay is a Humber College graduate in Hospitality and Business Management.
In March of 2018 Nicole graciously committed to upkeeping the Green Dupatta website. She is currently studying to become a Child and Youth worker at Centennial College meanwhile working at Audi of Mississauga. Nicole is a graduated classical-indian dancer, and a member of Iconic Dance Studio, which often volunteers performances for Green Dupatta fundraising events. Nicole is looking forward to growing along side the rest of the team and making a difference in the world!
