The skillset Nirmala utilizes to run events and coordinate projects is thanks to her diverse academic background and community involvement. Nirmala attended both the University of Toronto as well as York University. She graduated with a Honours Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Education and Master of Arts in Anthropology. Nirmala is currently working as an elementary school teacher in the Toronto District School Board. In addition to co-founding 'Green Dupatta', Nirmala is the 2015 Miss West Indian Canadian Queen.
Jay uses his extensive background and expertise to help plan and execute Green Dupatta fundraising events. Jay successfully started his first business at the age of 20 and his second at 21. Not only is Jay an incredible asset to the Green Dupatta Team, he also continues to inspire his colleagues from 'Events by Andrew' to volunteer their time at our annual fundraiser. Jay is a Humber College graduate in Hospitality and Business Management.
In March of 2018 Nicole graciously committed to up-keeping the Green Dupatta website. She recently has taken on the role as a board member and continues to grow alongside the Green Dupatta family. Nicole recently graduated with honours as a Child and Youth Worker from Centennial College. She is also a graduated indian-classical dancer and a member of Iconic Dance Studio, which often volunteers performances at Green Dupatta fundraising events.
